Patchwork and Quilting Class Knit Wits
I sometimes have a First Monday of the Month, session at Knit Wits. It enables people who are unable to come along to the other classes to bring their projects and have a try at new techniques.
Jenny was finishing off her Dinosaur Quillow Quilt for her Grandson and also made a Mug Bag to take to different meetings that now require you to bring your own. It's made out of 5"squares and is really easy to make but looks good too!
Mother and Daughter decided to have a try to different versions of Dresden Plate and as you can see there became quite a collection.

Quillo in Four Sessions

Being able to teach Textile Classes that people can sign up to
when they want is a real bonus because I get to meet
some lovely and unique people.
Gill is one of those ladies.
She was in Norfolk for a month looking after her Mum
and on some time for herself signed up for
four Sessions at Knit Wits to learn Patchwork and Quilting.
Gill had done nothing like this before and wanted
to dive straight in when I showed her the Quillo.
( A Quilt that folds into a cushion or pillow,
hence the name "Qui lo").
So over the four sessions and homework!
you can see what she achieved above.
Everyone took to Gill and I am sure she will be popping in
when she is visiting her Mum in Norfolk again.
Well done Gill!

Joan's Quillo

Joan had been on Quilting Retreat at Belstead House, near Ipswich,
this weekend and made this quillow for a friend who is going back to Australia
while she was there.
Joan went on a weekend where you enjoy the surroundings and company
of quilters but do your own thing.
What a lovely gift and because there are some of the Cathedrals and Churches
her friend had visited on the quillow, a memory quilt too!
Well done Joan, I love making Quillows.

Ann's Quillow
Ann had a stash of fabric squares she brought on holiday in America and
is now making a Quillow with them.
These are the squares cut out for the front and Ann is
busy sewing them together, after we labelled the rows once the arrangement
was worked out.
Today she was able to work out the front and back of the cushion panel
for the quillow
and do some felt embellishing.
I really love the brights!

Christmas Quillow
I have been working away on many different variations
of Christmas Quillos as orders have been coming in.
This one I am selling at The Gallery at the moment.
I just love it. I think it is one of my favourites, using my
usual recipe of cutting the squares and triangles.
I have free motioned quilted all over it.
See more Christmas shortly on
and of course you can place an order there to
by emailing me.
