On Monday when I got back from town I put the
finishing touches to my Lace Textured Star.
It is made with lots of recycled lace and fabrics,
as well as some of the trimmings I brought on the
previous Saturday.

Candy Canes

These Candy Canes are another favourite make of mine.
I have been making them for over ten years and
I love sharing my Christmas Makes with new
students.
In the shops today are so many trims, ribbons and decorations
that I just love to dismantle and add the different components
to my pieces.

Christmas Makes

More student Christmas Makes.
I think it is wonderful that these are going to
add to a family Christmas!

Textile Tuesday 29th November 2011

Here are my students version of my Button Christmas Tree.
I love seeing all the different version although they are
all starting with the same pattern.

Button Christmas Trees

I started making this design of Suffolk Puff Christmas Tree
15 years ago for craft stalls.
I am making them again to show students and
new patchwork and quilters
what you can make as a postal gift as these are light
and can be a card too!
They are lovely to hang up as part of your
Christmas Decorations.
They were well received at classes and
several students set about making them.

Christmas Projects

Christmas is definitely coming with all the Christmas Projects
being made. These are Sylvia's bag, using the one I showed
last week and a block from a
runner which she is making from a
Mc Calls Pattern Book.

Christmas Quilt

I know it's early but I have to start
Christmas Quilting now otherwise I
never have enough time to get a decent amount
of items together to do the shows I am invited to.
I finished quilting and put the bias binding on it,
Thursday.

Curtain Remake

Syliva finished her first patchwork quilt and
can now announce she has a new Great Grand Daughter!
Lovely!
Syliva wanted to make cushions for her dinning room
chairs and wanted to use the extra curtains she had
and any fabric we had in the Gallery tub.
She made a paper pattern and the made patchwork.
Also adding some ties to keep the cushions on the
chairs. She has made four of them and they
brighten up the room and feel nice to sit on!
Tailor made!
Syliva this week made an Art tidy,
from some more of the curtaining and lining
fabric. A real make over!
and really useful.
I think we are all looking again at what we can create
out of what we have!

These are some of the projects that I never got to post before

Christmas. Here Carol is putting the finishing touches to her

Christmas runner. It looked beautiful and must have

looked stunning on her table.

Christmas Quillow

I have been working away on many different variations
of Christmas Quillos as orders have been coming in.
This one I am selling at The Gallery at the moment.
I just love it. I think it is one of my favourites, using my
usual recipe of cutting the squares and triangles.
I have free motioned quilted all over it.
See more Christmas shortly on
and of course you can place an order there to
by emailing me.
