Alpaca Farm

After dressing the window at Knit Wits with the
Purple Sampler Quilt I went on to see Nikki
at The Alpaca Barn.
We said 'Hello' to the girls opposite and
then went into the Wet Studio next to the Shop,
to see how to use it for Felt Workshops.
There is so much more space with all the wool
sorted out and boxed.
It will be a great place to work in and
in 'good weather', be able to work outside.

Alpaca Waistcoat

There are so many different types of medias being undertaken
@The Gallery it's wonderful.
Nikki is coming along to use the fabric she has had spun
from her Alpaca Herd. The fabric is lovely to touch and to work with.
She is making a waistcoat, very suit like in it's construction
and look. After a few funnies the other week,
we got out the sewing dummy and are fitting it!

Alpaca Inspiration

Nikki's family owns an Alpaca Farm and has many quilts
her Mum made from the woven alpaca wool.
She is making a waistcoat out of the wonderful fabric.
