Shibori Indigo Samples

I unwrapped my suprise parcels! from the Shibori Indigo workshop
and rinsed them through in cold water.
I am really pleased with the results.
I will try and do another Indigo session in a few weeks time.
I liked the pieces which we used beads, screws and sticks to wrap
round. I also need to investigate stitch resist more as the stitched
circle piece is really beautiful.
Thank you, Marion and Sally for a great workshop.

Linda's Visit

Linda Turner, another fibre artist came over to visit us at
Quilters Cottage today.
We had a lovely walk and chatted about what we are working on.
Linda's found that the thread she has machine sewn has started to
disappear in certain places and the only thing we could put it down to was the polyester content, the iron being slightly too hot
or the rate at which she is sewing the strips together on the machine!!!!
If anyone else is finding this we would love to know how to solve,
or what it is,
other than use different thread.
We had a lovely lunch and then in the afternoon
Jenn sorted out our computer technical support.
Thank you Jenn for that and thank you Linda for sharing your day.
Love the Aloe Vera plant too.
