Irene's Quilt

Irene makes some amazing things and here is one of her quilts.
This one has been sewn together and unpicked and then sewn
together and then unpicked again, I don't know how many times
before she was pleased with the corners and points!
We all think it's fantastic but you know how some projects just get you
when you are in the thick of them and just don't go right?
You go off them!
Irene is hand quilting it at the moment.
Keep going it' wonderful!

All Was Quiet Then A Quilt Got Put Together

The Textile Thursday started off with 'Show and Tell' and
creativity and then Janet said,
"I am ready to put my quilt together".
So all hands on deck to move the tables around and then
the very large quilt sandwich began.
Lots of pins and laughter later patchwork becomes a quilt
and is ready for the quilting together.
The back was turned over to check, no wrinkles and admire
the handy work.
It is a reversible quilt for Janet's Grand daughter and we are
so proud of Janet because it is her first.
It is amazing.

Patchwork Box Cover

Liz has done some really big projects over
the last couple of years.
A kings sized quilt for her daughter in Australia.
A Comfy Chair Cover and here a Patchwork Box Cover for her
Fathers Travel Trunk.
She loves designing the 3D items!
An inspiration.

Skull and Cross Bone Quilt

Another Anne made a Skull and Cross Bone Quilt for her Grand Son.
This is Anne's second quilt!
The quilting is all different sizes of skulls!
So really well done!
Anne learnt so many new techniques and she is now starting a
red and white stitched quilt.

Wills Quilt

On Friday is the day I get to continue with
commissions and my own work.
I am preparing work for exhibition next year and
have quite a few commissions in hand.
This one is for Will. Here is the front finished and
the back pieced ready to quilt.
I love the colours and the idea based on flags and pennants.
