Embellished Flower Brooches

While we were having our textile session at Cancer Care
Beryl popped in with some of her Embellished Flower Brooches.
For the Centre to sell at their coffee morning which they hold once a
month on the last Tuesday.
Beryl has been coming along to textiles for 18 months and her first
session with me was on the Embellisher Machine,
she fell in love with the technique and got a machine immediately.
She is now a master and her Embellished Flower Brooches
 don't stay unsold for  long,
as you can see by the hand coming into the photo!

Visitor to the Wednesday Card Making Class

While we were starting to make our cards, Helen
one of my new Students walked in and thought it
was 'Textile Tuesday'. We all had a giggle as we
have all mislaid days at some time or another.
Anyway, she stopped for a cup of tea, chat and showed us
the quilt she is working on, a
Block of the Month called,
'Patchwork Shop'.
The Blocks are a mixture of patchwork, applique and
embroidery. Helen's blocks were beautiful.
She also showed us her finished
Embellished Needlecase she started making the week
before @ The Gallery, 'Textile Tuesday'. It looks great,
Well done! Helen.

Embellished Felt

Brenda started last week @The Gallery by
embellishing a background fabric in all blues
with a hint of green.
She had in mind to make her friend a gift which was
so unique and different to anything she had given before.
Brenda had admired the embellished needlecases and
started. Well first session went so quick
for her she embellished her felt and then
mastered embroidery stitches on my sewing machine.
This week was the flowers, leaves and beading.
Inside is lined and has felt pages.
I think it is really beautiful and feels
wonderful to hold.
Her friend is very lucky.
Well done Brenda!

Lynda Enjoys Embellishing

Lynda Turner, Dereham's Permanent Deputy Mayor
visited The Gallery, to try her hand at Taster Session with
the embellisher machine and found it very therapeutic after her very busy morning.
She then moved onto the computerized sewing machine to add some
additional embellishing stitches.
I hope we will see her again on a Tuesday gallery session as
she really enjoyed herself and produced a wonderful piece
of work.
