Carol' Embellishing

Carol has been busy using her Embellisher Machine she got for Christmas.
I introduced Carol to the Embellisher Machine at Textile Tuesdays and on the
Level One Creative Textiles Course.
She has just taken off and made the skill her own.
Using the Embellished fabric as a base
she then adds machine stitch and lots of
embellishments like beads, sequins, buttons and additions.
These additions often take the form of melted plastic and papers!
We do have fun recycling!

Gallery Tuesday 1st November 2011

For a November day it was a beautiful sunny one and
The Gallery was very busy.
Everyone was doing different projects.
Christine had come along for a taster session, so I
soon set her to work on the Embellisher.
You can see her card above.

Floral Felted and Embellished Cards

Purple Felted and Embellished Cards

Blue Felted and Embellished Cards

Another favourite colour of mine and this started my
love of using the Embellishing Machine off.
See my "Blue Moon" and more of my embellish pieces
My 'Blue Moon", embellished piece then became the
picture for my business card.

Red Felted and Embellished Cards

Assome of you know I love the colour red and I am
drawn back to it when I make cards.
These ones are all felted and embellished.
Then beads and machine and hand embroidery are added
afterwards.
I have needed to build up my collection of cards for the
exhibitions and events I have to attend this Summer.

Red and Blue Embellished Cards

After Judith left I started beading and embroidering
my felted and embellished cards.
I love this combination of the rich reds and blues.
The flower type one in the middle reminds me of
a textile artist's work by another Judith who makes
"Heart Felt Wishes",
It was not intentional but it obviously came out with the
made felt design.
