Eiffel Tower and Paris with Love Bag

Hilary makes some great Bags and as you can see this
one is themed on Paris.
A photo transfer onto fabric of The Eiffel Tower she
took while on holiday and a beautifully embroidered one in the opposite too!
I am due to do another session on photo transfer as it is so popular.

Hexagon Pincushion

Eileen made the purple hexagon pincushion and
brought it to class. It was plain with no embroidery on it.
She asked our opinion and we all agreed it need some stitch detail.
It became a real discussion point what embellishment to put on it.
It was decided it needed embroidery and so above you can see the results.
It looked great and won 1st Prize in a local show in the pincushion section.
Well done Eileen.

Machine Embroidered Leaves

Jeannette is starting a new project, a wall hanging
containing all different mixed media layered leaves.
There are many different techniques she wants to learn
and improve on ones that she has touched on in the past.
Here are some of the ones she made in her session.
The sessions @ The Gallery are approximately
2, 2 and a half hours long and some stay all day!

Jeanette's Textile Picture

Jeanette creates some wonderful textiles.
So richly layered, embroidered and beaded.
She allowed me to take a picture of her and
her textile art, that she had borrowed back from a
friend to show us.
Thank you Jeanette.
Sorry, about the shiny photo of her work above.
Jeanette is also the lady behind 'Bolliwood Turrets'.

Apple a Day

I have had a really busy week, finishing off pieces and continuing work for exhibitions and teaching. This apple was to practice the stitches before I try them out on ordinary fabric not even weave with easyto follow holes!
