Coven Quilters

Once a month I meet up with a group of

dear friends at Kate and Paddy's house to Quilt and Share.

We are lucky each month we meet we have a

Birthday to or special occasion to celebrate.

This month it was Liz's Birthday and she blew out the

candles in true tradition.

We 'Show and Telled' all evening, laughed as usual

until our sides hurt,

but also did some serious quilting and knitting!

Joan above is hand quilting using a quilting hoop.

Its always lovely to see people enjoying sharing

and creating!

Birthday Girl

we are so lucky as friends when we meet up once a month for

Coven Quilters as we are able to celebrate a birthday!

This month it was Joan's.

Kate makes such beautiful cakes!

this was a raspberry and cream one and there

was a coffee and nut one and a cherry loaf as well!

Liz has a Birthday

We are so lucky at Coven Quilters to celebrate our Birthdays

with friends. I love meeting up.

We laugh and share from the time we walk through the door

to the time we go home.

We are so lucky!

Opening Birthday parcels

I did feel a lucky girl.

Scarves,wine,chocolates,a hungry Caterpillar egg cup,

fabric covered notebook, biscuits from Cornwall, materials and glitzy bits.

Thank you so much Coven Girls, we are such a lucky group

of friends.

Coven Quilters

We had a lovely catch up chat and show and tell.

Then Kate surprised me with a Birthday cake as it

was my Birthday month. We seem to be lucky at Coven

and have a Birthday in the group nearly every month.

I think the expression says it all,

"is this really mine, all mine!"

She used my homemade blackcurrant jam too!
It tasted delicious!
The cheeky miss used sparkler type candles that re-light!

My Birthday

September the 11th is my birthday.

I got up early and went to the studio to play,

my time.

Jenn came in at 8am with a handful of cards, presents and

chocolate croisants and a mug of tea.

ooo I did feel loved!

This was a small selection and I now have a Meercat!

With the sun trying to shine we were off out for the day.

Than you to all who sent me lovely messages.

Joans Birthday

Joan had another Birthday celebration with us, as it had been her birthday the week before.

I am known for not baking as I tend to cook savour and meals more.

Jenn is the cake baker in the family but

I made a lemon sponge cake with lemon icing and zest decoration

for this occasion.

It was delicious. I know so because the plates were bare

and there was only one slice left for Jennifer

when she came in from night duty.

Jane's Birthday Gifts

Jane had her Birthday at the end of January and it was our get together to give our gifts. Note: shes wearing the Brooch I gave her, she liked it! The book was from Kate, Kaffe Fasset, lovely and Jane also had some wonderful smellies, the relaxing type.
