Janets Fan Quilt

It was so lovely laying out Jane's Fan Quilt she is making
for her grand daughter. To see the pattern and full
effect of the Fairy Border was lovely.
Just the binding to add and the addition fan quilting.
Well Done Janet.

All Was Quiet Then A Quilt Got Put Together

The Textile Thursday started off with 'Show and Tell' and
creativity and then Janet said,
"I am ready to put my quilt together".
So all hands on deck to move the tables around and then
the very large quilt sandwich began.
Lots of pins and laughter later patchwork becomes a quilt
and is ready for the quilting together.
The back was turned over to check, no wrinkles and admire
the handy work.
It is a reversible quilt for Janet's Grand daughter and we are
so proud of Janet because it is her first.
It is amazing.

Sylvia Fan Patchwork Tablecloth

Sylvia has finished her Grandmother Fan Lace Tablecloth.
It looks fantastic!
Here Sylvia is showing us where her own made
crochet lace is and where the different heirloom lace is on
her tablecloth.
We all admired it along with visiting customers.
Well done Sylvia!
Sylvia's inspiration was my Heirloom Lace Tablecloth.

Sylvia making a Patchwork Tablecloth

Sylvia was inspired by the Grand Mother's Fan Patchwork and
Lace Tablecloth I had brought in to show her for inspiration.
She wanted to know what she could do with all her
handmade lace and linens she had inherited from her
mother.
Dereham's Lace Making Group meets on a Monday,
where Sylvia is a member.
So as you can see, she has set to work
and is making her own version of the cloth.
Well done Sylvia for doing so much
homework!
