Chilford Quilt Show March 2012

On Friday the 9th of March, I took myself off
to Chilford Vine Yards Exhibition.
I love this exhibition for the variety of stalls and
Quilting Exhibits.
It is not too big either so you don't feel
over whelmed!
I wasn't feeling to good as I was at the end of a
chesty cold.
(I have still got the chesty cough that came with it
a month later!).

The Poppy Quilt was made by Dilys Franks.
The Bed Runner and Large Peacock Quilt was made
by Judith Wilson. The level of quilting was so high,
Inspirational!

Monkey Buttons Bags

Amanda from Monkey Buttons always has a fantastic stall.
Sorry about the shake I was laughing as usual!
Amanda told me she had now designed and
published 100 patterns for bags, quilts and runners.
Well done! Amanda.
We were lucky at Alveva Quilters to have
Amanda come along and do a talk and workshop
a couple of years ago.
She does mail order too!
in her busy schedule.

Chilford Quilt Show Nov 2011

On the Sunday I took Fiona one of the owners from
Knit Wits to Chilford Vineyards for the
November Quilt Show.
I love going to Chilford because it is small enough to enjoy
but with so much to see and buy!
We arrived early and immediately went to the
Quilt Display area and as you can see we had the view
to ourselves. I have never seen it like this before
and the twinkle lights in the ceiling made it
look very magical!
I had so much inspiration and it triggered off
so many ideas!
Visit Julie's Blog over at mixed media for a
great review and more photos of the show.

Chilford Exhibition

Jenn and I took ourselves off to Chilford Vineyards
near Cambridge on Friday to visit the
Quilt Exhibition.
There were so many things to see and take in.
I especially liked these wallhangings.
A miss of me but I forgot to take down the makers name
so are putting it out there as a remembrance to
to take details of your favourites and
I like to celebrate the maker along with their websites etc.
If anyone knows the maker and details I would love the feedback.
