Camping Exhibition

Well, we are definitely diverse in our choice of buildings to visit
from monumental castles, abbey's and ancient buildings
to TENTS!
Stewart and I have camped nearly every year of our married life
and we were both camping before that.
On the way to Charleston farmhouse we looked in
on a Camping Exhibition.
We are always looking for items to make camping interesting.
We were looking for a front awning to our 4 man tent and
a luxury item, a camping wood burner.
( The type Ray Mears uses in his Winter Expeditions).
As you can see by the photograph it was beginning to rain!

Oasis!

An Oasis Caravan on a very windy North Sea Coast!
Considering it was a two bedroom it was spacious
and had all what we needed.

Woodhall Spa Camping

Stewart and I took ourselves off for a camping trip to Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire.
The Bainland Campsite is a really well organised and spacious.
This postcard was taken from one of the Liner posters,
from 1923-1930. The posters were
produced by the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote rail travel.
The artwork was originally created by Howard E Elcock.
Woodhall Spa was originally an Edwardian town, founded on 'spa water', discovered on the Lincolnshire heathland in the 19th Century. It became a fashionable holiday destination with many grand lodges and hotels.
We had a good time pitching the tent, walking, swimming and enjoying the peace and quiet.
